The Vanishing of Tiffany Daniels

Nov 02, 2025 03:09PM ● By Angelica Brooks

PENSACOLA, Fla. — On August 12, 2013, 25-year-old Tiffany Daniels walked away from her job at Pensacola State College, left her colleagues, briefly returned home — and then vanished.

Her disappearance remains one of the most haunting missing-person cases in the region.

A brief timeline

  • That Monday afternoon, Daniels was working as a theatre technician at the college.

  • At about 4:43 p.m., she told her supervisor she wouldn’t be back for a few days. She then went home.

  • After that, she was never seen again — and her housemate was on the phone at the time, didn’t notice her leaving.

  • Over a decade later, her family still holds out hope for answers. In April 2025 a report noted that eleven years had passed and new information had surfaced.

The human impact

Daniels was described by those who knew her as creative, free-spirited and engaged in the local arts scene.  Her abrupt disappearance shattered a tight-knit circle of friends and colleagues who later struggled to make sense of what happened. Her family has repeatedly expressed frustration at the lack of closure.

What we know — and don’t

  • Known: The last confirmed sighting was on August 12, 2013. Her vehicle remained at her home.

  • Unknown: Her whereabouts since that day. No credible sightings have been confirmed. Investigators have not publicly named a suspect.

  • Investigative leads have emerged over the years, but none have produced definitive results. The case is listed among several unresolved in the region.

Why it matters

This case underscores how even in relatively small communities, someone can go missing with few clues, and how families are left in prolonged limbo. For Pensacola, it is a reminder of the fragility of public safety and the enduring need for resources devoted to missing persons investigations.

What to watch

  • Any breakthrough in forensic technology (DNA, surveillance, data-tracking) might shift the case.

  • Public appeals or witness outreach may generate new leads — the family has welcomed community assistance.

  • Law-enforcement cooperation across jurisdictions (local, state, federal) may help if the trail leads beyond Escambia County.

If you have information regarding Tiffany Daniels, the public is urged to contact the Pensacola Police Department or the local law-enforcement tip line.
